Presentation at California Indian Conference—AISC: Addressing California Indian Educational Needs by Bridging the Academy and the Community

UCLA’s American Indian Studies Center: Addressing California Indian Educational Needs by Bridging the Academy and the Community Center research analyst David Montoya (’09) will deliver a presentation at the 27th Annual California Indian Conference, California State University San Marcos, October 5–6, 2012. The theme this year is “Leading the Way.” Montoya will discuss the ways in which the Center has led in education, research, student research, and arts and culture. This presentation emphasizes the vital role that the Center plays in strengthening California Indian communities by examining the leadership the Center has provided through decades of education, research, and work within the community.
