Race in the Global Past Through Native Lenses
Dear Race in the Global Past through Native Lenses community participants,
Chokma! Thank you for your participation in our March 2 workshop. We very much enjoyed engaging with you and learning from you in our generative discussion around “words.” We write now to invite your on-going participation at the next workshop on April 28. In this half-day workshop (12:00-5:00PT), we hope to continue the conversation about how to center Native and Indigenous historical narratives in order to change how the history of humanity is conceived, written, and transmitted, in institutions of higher education such as UCLA, and more broadly in the world.
As announced the core team will circulate in advance of the workshop some ideas for this next workshop segment on “stories.” We very much hope to have your voice in the ongoing conversation on April 28. Please save the date! Lunch and afternoon refreshments will be provided.
