Gabriela Ines Diaz (any pronouns) is CHamoru (Familian Liberatu/ Kabesa and Familian Nungi-Assan), Pohnpeian and Filipina from Guåhan. Before moving to Tovaangar (Los Angeles) in 2024, she was living in Bde Ota Otunwe (Minneapolis, MN), where she received her B.A. in American Indian Studies with a minor in Environmental Geosciences from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (2021). Before joining the Center, she worked in Native student services and academic consulting.

Gabriela is an iced-coffee enthusiast, an animal lover, and a Queer Micronesian woman who is passionate about social justice and the arts.
