Our panelists include Rigoberto Quemé Chay, a Maya-Kiché leader from Guatemala, Angela Mooney D’Arcy from the Sacred Places Institute, and UCLA Law Professor Joseph Berra. Panelists will discuss Indigenous worldview regarding the environment, the threat of extractive industries such as mining to Indigenous communities, and the significance of Indigenous resistance in terms of self-governance.
